We strive to be an evolving company steered by hands-on directors and managers leading a well trained team capable of handling all your requirements.
The management and personnel of Envirocycle are committed to Health, Safety and Environmental preservation and reducing associated losses. Envirocycle demands full compliance with all statutory legislation that is required at Municipal, Provincial and National levels. This is realized through the implementation of a Health, Safety and Environmental programme that:
The company has branches in De Wildt, Rustenburg, Bon Accord, Lephalale, Potgietersrus, PTA West and Brakpan, with suppliers and affiliates throughout South Africa as well as contractual arrangements which ensure a steady supply of material from the mining and industrial sectors.
EnviroSteel is a division of Envirocycle which deals in new Steel products with branches in De Wildt and Potgietersrus.
Envirocycle uses a variety of machinery, including excavator-mounted grabs and magnets, high and low density steel balers, 500T and 600T shears, croppers and manual gas cutters. The final product is then transported to our local partners, or packed onsite for the export market.
The material that enters our yards is weighed, recorded on camera and routed to the correct department; it then enters the processing cycle to achieve the final product specification by utilizing the following systems:
FERROUS & NON-FERROUS METALS
The term Ferrous is derived from the Latin word “Ferrum”, which means “iron”, and is used to refer to any metal that has some amount of iron within its composition and is therefore magnetic.
Thus Non-Ferrous metals are those without any trace of iron within them and thus non-magnetic. Ferrous or not, many metals are favoured recycling materials. Iron and steel (Ferrous Metals) for instance, are among the most recycled materials in the world which is due in part to the ease with which they can be reprocessed for use. A notable advantage of steel is that, regardless of grade, any steel can be reworked 100% without suffering any degradation in quality.
Aluminium (Non-Ferrous Metals) is also a very popular recycled material. Similar to steel, aluminium can be recycled without degradation and is reusable indefinitely.
Envirocycle has a fleet of skip, hook-lift and grab trucks and is able to place bins of 24m³ and 6m³ at our customer’s premises within a 50km radius of our yards. Our fleet is managed via satellite tracking to ensure that all our suppliers’ products arrive and are delivered to the correct certified weighbridge utilizing the Lariat recycling software package (RecycleProx) where the declared weight, once captured, cannot be tampered with.
Weighbridge tickets are issued for all loads entering or leaving our yards, and grading is carried out at the weighbridge when the load enters and is again confirmed upon offloading. All payments are made within one working day of receipt. Our constantly expanding fleet currently consist of more than 40 heavy transport vehicles, over 400 Waste Bins and other larger vehicles.
